PARISH NEWS REFLECTION – Ephesians 4:17-5:2

Since the recent birth of my nephew I’ve really noticed that children really are miracles. At one point in time there was nobody there and then in a matter of months there they are! Little unique individuals and yet they physically resemble both parents, little reflections of their Father and Mother.

In today’s reading Paul is calling the Ephesians to no longer reflect the image of the old self in their old rebellious ways of life but rather to reflect the image of their Father God. He is calling them to live in light of the transformation that God has worked within their hearts, to be children of God in the world.

Do we remember who our Father is?

Do we know what he is like?

Do we reflect him in the world?

1. The Old and the New

2. Imitators of God as Children
