PARISH NEWS REFLECTION - Luke 16:1-13

Are you one of those people who supports two teams in the same sport? Suppose

you have two teams in the AFL. Now that might seem like a good idea, after all

you might think, if one team doesn’t do so well maybe the other might. But what

would you do, if they both did well, and then they met in the Grand Final and

went head to head with each other? Who would you support? Who would you

want to win? One or the other? You see, situations like this show us where our

true allegiances lie. Ultimately, we can’t support two teams in the same

competition, because there can only truly be one winner. In our reading today,

Jesus turns our attention to a parable concerning wealth. In the parable we will

see how a manager uses and abuses his masters wealth and indeed where is true

allegiances lie.

1. The Dishonest Manager

2. God vs Wealth

3. Wise Stewards
