REFLECTION: 2 TIMOTHY 1:1-14
Imagine you were attempting something really difficult and significant, like running a marathon. There you are, running your hardest, feeling tired, thirsty and almost about to give up. Then suddenly, you can see people in the distance, people who are calling your name and cheering you on. Go on, they say, you can do it! Don’t give up! You’re almost there! How would this make you feel? It would give you new found energy, wouldn’t it? We all need encouragement from time to time, especially if we want to continue and even improve what we’re doing.
In our reading this week, we will see the Apostle Paul encouraging his fellow worker in Christ and spiritual son in the faith, Timothy.
1. Sincere Faith
2. Unashamed

UPDATE ON VICAR
Today, Thursday 29th, I have my 39thand final radiation treatment for my prostate cancer. There have been ups and downs with my health through this period but thankfully I am feeling well as I come to the end. Jane and I will now take a few weeks annual leave to get away and to fully recover from the treatment before returning fully to work on Wednesday October 19th. I want to thank everyone for your prayers and many acts of kindness through this difficult time. I look forward to being back with you in a few weeks. Many blessings, Graeme.
MORNING TEA
Sincere thanks to the parishioners who have volunteered to help with morning tea. I’m pleased to say that the roster is now complete. Doreen.
