Sunday 31st May 2026 - Trinity Sunday

REFLECTION: Matthew 28:16-20 “In the name of the Father & of the Son & of

the Holy Spirit”

On this Trinity Sunday we have a look at the great commission given by

Jesus for the disciples to make disciples of all nations and to baptise them

into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We are

reminded that our God comes to us in three persons who all work together

in a perfect unity. We are also reminded that we as disciples of Jesus, also

share in this mission today. Our faith is not just for us. It is to be shared so

that we also might make disciples for Jesus. We do this in the authority of

Jesus Christ and in the power of his Spirit for the Glory of God the

Father.

1. Jesus said “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me...

(18)

2. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations (19)

3. Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy

Spirit (20)

4. Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

5. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
